Interest and Movement

People think things are boring when they don’t understand they are changing. Cars are boring when they’re good enough and you can’t imagine them getting any better. Software is boring when you think we have all the software we could ever really need. You stop looking for new music when you feel like there’s nothing new under the sun.

The ironic thing is that the inability to see or accept change is both the thing that makes the world less interesting, and the perspective that gets you left behind. The reason people fall into it is that it’s easy. The default state is recall; to observe once and assume stasis.

What is something you presume is static? In what ways is it changing? How does this change affect you and how in turn can you affect the course of the change?
